Search Help
Searching By Title or Keyword:

Searching by title or keyword is similar to using a wildcard search. All of the results returned contain the exact phrase somewhere within the title or keyword description. This is often thought of as *title* or *keyword*. The search is not case sensitive.

Example:

Martin Luther King
Martin King
- these return different results

Searching By Description:

Searching by description offers a bit more freedom. This uses a natural query language structure, which allows more open ended queries. These do not have to be as exact.

Example:

Martin Luther King
Martin King
Who is King, Martin Luther?
- these return similar results

Searching By Date:

Searching by date is a way to find a number of pieces that reside within the range specified. If a piece was created in 1934 and the search wanted pieces between 1930 and 1940, then this piece is returned.
